The spot price of electricity is determined in the electricity exchange for each hour of the following day on the day before, at the latest at 12:30 CET.
The price is formed at the intersection of the purchase and sale offers entered into the electricity exchange.

The wholesale price of electricity is determined on the electricity exchange based on supply and demand. The wholesale price covers only a part of the consumer's electricity bill. The electricity bill also includes electricity trade costs, electricity transmission fees and electricity taxes.
